Morning meditations and yoga classes offered by the mountain and in the evening sunset, calming yoga practices by the sea offer our guests a wonderful balance of both yin and yang energies.

Leonidion is located in a valley within the Peloponnese, roughly around a 3 hour drive from Athens. It is considered mainland Greece and therefore no need to travel by water.

Hotel Hatzipanayiotis:

Hatzipanayiotis’ Mansion was renovated by craftsmen with affection, enthusiasm and respect. Standing as a fortress in the centre of Leonidio, it is surrounded by high stone walls which enclose its authenticity inside. From the entrance, a magnificent wooden door with a stone dome, we can see the strictly rectangular shape of the mansion and the traditional wooden roof, which was reconstructed with Byzantine-style tiles. The pebble-paved yard is equally impressive with a garden full of beautiful flowers such as gerania, honeysuckles, pansies, jasmines and frangipanis.

The ground floor and the first floor have independent entrances but they communicate externally with a stone staircase which is based on domes and arches of great magnificence. The beautiful “chagiatia” (balconies), the elaborate chimneys, the lintels of the windows with the stone arcs and the stone-built arches are unique characteristics of the impressive local architecture.

This pandemic has certainly been hard on everyone and as much as we'd like to get back to "normal", we know that taking our guests and our own safety is imperative to us offering our retreats once more.
All accommodations are clean, safe and disinfected to offer our guests sanitary conditions but also peace of mind!
Social distancing is respected and thankfully we offer our classes and ceremonies in the outdoors to ensure additional safety.
We ask that all attendees have a negative PCR test prior to arrival in Greece (a negative PCR test is required to enter Greece).

What is Reiki?

​Reiki is a complementary therapy, commonly referred to as energy healing or healing through touch.  Reiki derives from the Japanese words: ‘rei’ meaning universal and ‘ki’ which means life energy. When you put these two together, you get: universal life force energy.

​Founded by Mikao Usui, Usui Reiki emerged from Japan in the late 19th century and it involves the transferring of universal energy from one being to another.  Reiki is instinctive and innate within each of us. It is a simple and natural yet powerful healing modality that anyone, at any age has the ability to practice or receive.

​How does it work?

Reiki is best in a setting that is peaceful and quiet, although it can be given anywhere at any time. The receiver of reiki can be seated or lying down comfortably, or even at a distance.

The practitioner, then, places their hands lightly over the recipient and the energy transfer; unblocking & harmony within begin. Reiki allows space for clearing, centering, and balancing, guiding the body to a restorative state.

How to get there:

Leonidio is located 210 km away from Athens. It is approximately a 3.5 hour drive from Athens and 1.5 hour drive from Nafplio. If you do not have a car, you can come with the bus service of KTEL (Interurban bus) from Athens (approximately 4.5 hour drive). The cost for the bus is between 25-35€ one way. They have better deals when booking two-way tickets.

Hotel Hatzipanayiotis is a boutique hotel in Leonidio, a traditional settlement in Peloponnese. Also known as Archontiko Hatzipanayiotis, our 4-star hotel is located in the heart of the village, surrounded by an enchanting landscape and embraced by nature, with a beautiful view over Leonidio.
